New Year's Eve(Day)

It's weird. I don't usually feel anything at this time of the year, like New Year's Day is simply another ordinary and random day in the massive flow of time. These special days are nothing without the meaning we men and women give them. So, if I don't give it to them, won't they all then turn to dust, and drift away along the wind into the nothingness they first emerged from?
Or can we simply give any day a meaning to it? To make it remarkable? Not to conceal the truth, but to make it the truth?
"Not to conceal the truth, but to make it the truth."
Somehow I'm feeling a little hopeful now, at 1am in the morning of New Year's Day, with a faint touch of moonlight resting on the crystal black river behind the closed windows. Hoping to see the sun rise from behind the hills, to have butterflies hatch in my stomach, to blossom in the vast field of idyllic flowers, and to, in the end, make it the truth.
